Wade Miquelon

Wade Miquelon (born October 28, 1964) was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Walgreen Co., a Chicago-based Fortune 50 company and the largest drugstore in the U.S., with $72B in annual sales across more than 7,900 retail stores and outlets.[1] Among his recent contributions at Walgreens, Miquelon was involved in the purchase of NYC iconic Duane Reed drugstore chain,[2] the acquisition of eCommerce principal, Drugstore.com,[3] and most recently the two step transaction to acquire/merge with Alliance Boots, a $40B in annual revenue company operating in 26 countries and widely regarded as the preeminent international pharmacy and healthcare distribution enterprise. Wade was named Institutional Investor's CFO of the year in 2011 and one of the Wall Street Journal's top 9 CFO's to watch in 2012.

Miquelon joined Walgreens, in June 2008, as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in July 2009.[4] Previously, he held the position of Executive Vice President and CFO at Tyson Foods, Inc., where he was since 2006.[5] Prior to his tenure at Tyson, Miquelon spent 16 years with The Procter & Gamble Company, working at the company’s headquarters in Cincinnati, as well as a combined 12 years at their international offices in Bangkok, Singapore, and Geneva. In Geneva, he served as the General Manager and Head of Finance for Western Europe, a P&G division responsible for 30% of total P&G's sales, approximately $20B.

In addition to his position at Walgreens, Miquelon currently serves on the board of directors of two major Chicago institutions: the Shedd Aquarium and the Chicago Lyric Opera. A dedicated proponent of education and children's advocacy, he also serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board of the University of Arkansas's Sam M. Walton College of Business[6] and the Kerry Wood's foundation. Wade serves on the board of directors for Acadia healthcare (ticker ACHC) based in Franklin Kentucky and the board of directors for the privately held Alliance Boots based in Bern Switzerland.

Miquelon received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, in 1987, from Purdue University, and a Masters of Business Administration degree in Finance and Marketing, in 1989, from Washington University, St. Louis.
