Vinodhan

Vinodhan is an upcoming Tamil drama film written and directed by Victor Jayaraj and produced by Prabhu Deva. The film features Varun, Vedhika and Salony Luthra in the leading roles, while Madhan Karky has written the dialogues for the film. The film, which focusses on the issue of obsessive–compulsive disorder, will release in early 2016.^[1]

Production

In August 2015, Prabhu Deva announced that he would produce a psycho-emotional film to be written and directed by newcomer Victor Jayaraj, which would have dialogues written by Madhan Karky.^[2][3] Newcomer Varun, who later made his debut with Oru Naal Iravil (2015), was signed to feature in the lead role, with Vedhika, who was reported to be sporting several looks in the film.^[4] Salony Luthra, who had worked with Victor Jayaraj in Sarabham (2014) when he did acting workshop for the actress, agreed to feature in a supporting role and joined the team in September 2015. Senior actors Moulee and Rohini, as well as Karthik Kumar were also added to the cast.^[5] Victor Jayaraj insisted that the cast had rehearsals before the team began shoot, with the team editing the film constantly as it was shot. Besides the acting rehearsals, the cast were made to attend workshops on the issue of obsessive–compulsive disorder led by psychiatrist, Dr.Swathik Sankaralingam.^[6] Ninety percent of the film's shoot was finished during its first schedule, which lasted twenty eight days.^[7]
