Vinayak Joshi is an Indian film and theater actor, and Radio jockey.[1][2] Born on 25 August 1987, Bangalore. His ancestral roots trace back to Dharwad district.
He was a child artiste in the Kannada film industry. Before his radio career, he was an actor in Kannada films since 14 years. Started as a child artiste from the 1997 Superhit movie Nammoora Mandara Hoove by Sunil Kumar Desai starring Shivrajkumar, Ramesh & Prema.
His other notable hit movies include Amrutha Varshini, Laali, Simhada mari, Kurigalu Saar Kurigalu, Appu, Kanti, Nanna Kanasina Hoove, Minchina Ota, Chitra, etc.
Also acted in several Tele-serials like: Mussanje by T. S. Nagabharana and Trin Trin Trin by Phani Ramachandra, "Dandapindagalu", a hilarious Comedy series about the youths of today's generation. All together Vinayak was featured in more than 45 films and 70 serials.He was a participant in a reality show called Bigg Boss Kannada in April, 2013. He is Also the Last Grandson of V.M Joshi, renown Freedom Fighter, hailing from Dharwad.[3]
He has won 2 Karnataka State Film Awards, At the age of 19, Vinayak won the National Award as the best director for a play, "Shraddha" (THESPO 8). He is one among the youngest directors to win this award.
Vinayak is actively involved in executing films and have produced 4 films under the banner “Joshi Chitra”.
He is a graduate from National College, Bangalore, Jayanagar.
He is a fitness freak who once weighed 110 kg, is now just 80 kg. He has run several marathons. In 2014, Vinayak ran 100 km to raise funds for 21-year-old Akshay, suffering from kidney problems.[4]
Vianayak Joshi is currently working as Digital Head in Flipkart, India.He worked as Radio Jockey in Radio Mirchi and Radio City (Indian radio station), Bangalore.
He (July 2016) starred in the Kannada show 'Dancing star 3' and is now eliminated from the show.[5]
