Venice Biennale on the Web

The Venice Biennale on the Web is a collection of websites documenting the Venice Biennale in 2013 and 2015. The collection was created by the library of the Clark Art Institute[1] and its partner Archive-It. It includes web pages collected starting April 28, 2013 and May 1, 2015, continuing through to the end of November of those years. The captured web pages were collected on Archive-It, Venice Biennale on the Web 2013;[2] Archive-It, Venice Biennale on the Web 2015;[3] and on the Clark Art Institute Library Digital Collections, Venice Biennale on the Web.[4] Archive-It and the Clark Art Institute Library are preserving for future study and research the national and collateral event web pages which change and disappear within a short time during the span of each Biennale.[5]

In 2015, Archive-It captured the web presence of first-time exhibiting nations: Grenada, Mauritius, Mongolia, and the Republic of Seychelles. In the Central Pavilion, one of the standouts in 2015 was the Pavilion of the Republic of Armenia. Armenity/Haiyutiou: Contemporary artists from the Armenian Diaspora earned Armenia a Golden Lion award for Best National Pavilion.
