The Venezuelan parakeet (Pyrrhura emma) is a bird in the parrot family Psittacidae. It was formerly considered conspecific with the white-eared parakeet (Pyrrhura leucotis).

Range

Pyrrhura emma occurs in forested areas of the coastal cordillera of northern Venezuela. One population lies between Yaracuy and Miranda and another from Anzoátegui to Sucre and northern Monagas.[2]

Habitat

The Venezuelan parakeet occurs in wet and humid foothill forests and adjacent clearings.
