Van I. Ward was an American football coach in the United States.[1]
Coaching career
Ward was the head college football coach for the Kalamazoo Hornets located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He held that position for the 1909 season.[2] His coaching record at Kalamazoo was 4 wins and 2 losses. As of the conclusion of the 2010 season, this ranks him #15 at Kalamazoo in total wins and #3 at the school in winning percentage (.667).[3]
His obituary appeared in the Kalamazoo Gazette on March 4, 1919.[4]
