V. V. Vinayak (born: Gandrothu Veera Venkata Vinayak) is an Indian film director and screen writer known for his works exclusively in Telugu cinema.[1][2] Vinayak made his film debut with the 2002 melodrama film Aadi starring NTR Jr., upon release the film received positive reviews, and became a box office hit.[3][4]
Vinayak received the state Nandi Award for Best First Film of a Director for his work in the film. The film was subsequently remade in Tamil as Jai.[5] In 2003, Vinayak directed two major box office hits Dil and Tagore starring Chiranjeevi. Tagore was screened at the 2006 IIFA Awards held in Dubai.[6] In 2013, Vinayak directed a Short film to promote Organ Donation.[7]
