Utpal Shanghvi School

Utpal Shanghvi Global School (USGS) is a private school in Mumbai, India. It is attended by the children of celebrities, business magnates, and politicians. The school follows the SSC state board syllabus and the Cambridge University certified IGCSE syllabus. It was the first school in India to receive the ISO 9001:2000 certifiсate. The former principal of the school Abha Dharampal (now CEO) had won the Best Teacher award from the former president of India, A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. The school was established in 1982. It accommodates an average of 35-40 students per classroom in the primary and secondary section. The school celebrated its silver jubilee in the year 2007.

Foundation

The Juhu Vile Parle Development Co-operative Housing Association formed the Juhu Parle Education Society and established an English medium school, on Plot No. 7, A-12-3, East West Road No. 3 in JVPD Scheme, Vile Parle West, Mumbai.

Utpal Shanghvi Global School began on 8 June 1982, as Utpal Shanghvi School with pre-primary and primary divisions. In June 1983, the secondary section began. The school is non-denominational and co-educational. It began its IGCSE section in 2005, after which it has consistently been able to get honoured by the International School Award, by the Cambridge.

Annual day: "Blitzing"

Known as the famous showcase of extraordinary talent, USGS hosts its annual day in a very prosper and celebrative way, naming it the Blitzing. The proud USGSites display their talent in an innovative, on the school's playground. This enhances the school's ability to produce entrepreneurs and all-rounders.
