Ultralife Corporation (NASDAQ: ULBI) is a United States company that sells products ranging from portable power solutions to communications and electronics systems. Ultralife was established in 1990 and is based in Newark, New York. There are two main departments in the company, namely Battery & Energy Products and Communications Systems. The products of the company are under the Ultralife Batteries, McDowell Research, AMTI, and ABLE brand. Products
Battery & Energy Products
This segment provides various kinds of batteries, such as 9-volt lithium batteries, cylindrical batteries, thin lithium manganese dioxide batteries (Li-MnO2), lithium ion cells and rechargeable batteries, and rugged battery charging systems. These batteries are used for applications, such as wearable medical devices, theft detection systems and RFID devices. It also provides some other related products, like uninterruptable power supplies and cables. Military applications for the non-rechargeable HiRate batteries include man-pack and survival radios, night vision devices, targeting devices, chemical agent monitors and thermal imaging equipment. Its GenSet Eliminator provides energy storage capabilities to generators and renewable energy sources.
Communications Systems
This segment mainly serves for military communications systems under the McDowell Research, AMTI and RedBlack Communications brands, such as radio frequency (RF) amplifiers (including 20, 50 and 75-watt), power supplies, connector assemblies, tactical repeaters. The Company’s integrated systems include SATCOM systems; rugged, deployable case systems; multiband transceiver kits and so on.
