Tsugaruishi Station (津軽石駅 Tsugaruishi-eki) was a JR East railway station located in Miyako, Iwate Prefecture, Japan. The station was destroyed during 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, and operations have been replaced by a provisional Bus Rapid Transit line.
Lines
Tsugaruishi Station was served by the Yamada Line, and was located 111.3 rail kilometers from the terminus of the line at Morioka Station.
Station layout
Tsugaruishi Station had two opposed side platforms connected to the station building by a level crossing. The station was staffed.

History
Tsugaruishi Station opened on 17 November 1935. The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatization of the Japan National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987. The station was destroyed during the 11 March 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. A KiHa 100 series train, which was at the station at the time, was also derailed and destroyed.
