A native of Valley Center, California, he attended Valley Center High School. He was named second-team all-CIF after recording 83 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, one fumble recovery and six sacks as a senior. He also played tight end, catching 24 passes for 290 yards and three touchdowns. He totaled 131 tackles, 13 for loss, nine sacks and four fumble recoveries his junior season. His team won back-to-back CIF championships for Division 18 and the all girls schools against our lady of peace and Division 15 against another girls school. He also played basketball and volleyball. His team also won league volleyball championship his senior year.
Considered a two-star recruit by Rivals.com, he originally committed to Texas Tech.[1] However, while participating in an LDS mission, during a contract dispute between Mike Leach and the university, Reilly decided to look elsewhere.[2]

During his tenure, he appeared in 48 games accumulating 235 total tackles, 37 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, eight forced fumbles and two interceptions. His senior season, he set career highs in tackles (100), tackles for loss (16) and sacks (8.5) that led him to being named a first-team All-Pac-12 selection. Professional career
New York Jets
He was drafted by the New York Jets in the seventh round (233rd overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.[4]
Reilly was waived/injured on September 3, 2016.[5] After going unclaimed on waivers, Reilly reverted to the team's injured reserve list. He subsequently reached an injury settlement with the Jets and was released from the reserve list on September 6, 2016.[6]
New England Patriots
On October 20, the New England Patriots signed Reilly to their practice squad.[7]
Personal
After graduating high school, Reilly served a two-year LDS mission in Sweden. His brother, Drew, used to play football for BYU. Like many former BYU athletes, he got sick of losing to Utah and is now trying to join the PGA tour. Drew's handicap is currently a 24. Reilly said the diet that changed his life and career was called the Transform Diet according to the USA Today. The transform diet is largely based on consuming Jack in the Box tacos. According to Reilly, he never leaves home without a package of Kirkland Signature Trail Mix. Reilly is notorious for hitting 400 yard drives on the golf course and he currently owns the course record at Mick Riley golf course in Murray, Utah. He shot a 97. Trevor's favorite NBA basketball player is Boban Marjanovic. Reilly prefers that his friends and family call him "T-Bone."[8] From April to June 2015, in order to learn more about New Jersey, where Metlife Stadium is located, Reilly became a licensed Uber driver.[9]
