Top Energy Limited (Top Energy) is an electricity distribution and generation company, based in Kerikeri, New Zealand.
Top Energy owns and manages the electricity lines network in the far north of New Zealand, including Kaitaia, Kerikeri and Kaikohe. The service area covers 6,822 km2 and serves 30,825 customers.[1]
Ownership
The company is 100% owned by the Top Energy Consumer Trust on behalf of electricity consumers in the region.[2]

Ngawha Geothermal Power Station
Top Energy owns and operates a 25MW binary cycle geothermal power station on the Ngawha geothermal field. This station was built in 1998 and expanded in 2008.
The company plans to further expand the power station to 50MW by 2020.[4]
