To Build a Fire (French: Construire un Feu) is a 2016 French animated short film directed by Fx Goby adapted from the short story To Build a Fire by Jack London. The film has been presented in a number of festivals including the Cannes Film Festival,[1] the Anibar International Animation Festival,[2] the New Orleans Film Festival[3] and the Rhode Island International Film Festival where it won the prize for best animation.[4]
The film was partially funded through crowdfunding on the Indiegogo platform.[5]
Plot
In the harshness of midwinter, a trapper is crossing the Yukon with his dog. Struggling, to survive he attempts to build a simple fire.
