This Is Bat Country
This Is Bat Country is the second studio album by Australian pop punk band Short Stack, released through Sunday Morning Records on 12 November 2010. The band claims that the sound of their new music (which is a more rock sound) is not a change, but merely a progression from a more pop sound. The band has added violins to some of their songs, which are evident in the tracks "Werewolves", "Die Young, Stay Pretty", "Ruby Red" and "Wendy", but none of the members play them.

Tour
In July 2011 the band began their month-long This Is Bat Country Australian tour beginning in Sydney. Whilst in Melbourne the band filmed their first live DVD, and took photographs from the other concerts. On 15 July in Brisbane, Shaun Diviney's guitar went on mute whilst playing "Jack the Ripper" in which he replaced the lyrics 'I'm bulletproof' with 'My guitar is on mute'. Supporting the band on their tour were also Because They Can and Heroes for Hire, who played at every concert. Shaun Diviney also became mildly ill through the halfway point of the tour. Whilst playing at Penrith Panthers, Diviney performed New York City Ballet, a single from their upcoming album. This was the first and only time they played the song on the tour.
