TE, or thioescaline, is a series of lesser-known psychedelic drugs similar in structure to escaline. They were first synthesized by Alexander Shulgin and written up in his book PiHKAL (Phenethylamines i Have Known And Loved). Very little is known about their dangers or toxicity.

Dosage: 60–80 mg
Duration: 8–12 hours
Effects: increased pleasure from art and music, lowering of pitch, and time distortion
4-TE
Dosage: 20–30 mg
Duration: 9–12 hours
Effects: open-eye visuals, easy conversation. +++ on the Shulgin Rating Scale
