Thimmasamudram is the birthplace of MP Dr. Kambampati Hari Babu, Former MLA Karanam Balaram Krishna Murthy and Bachina Chenchu Garataiah and MPTC Muddana Anjamma (tdp), and President Ramesh Babu Karanam. Karanam Ramaiah and Nagaratnamma Charities established by Smt.Karanam Nagaratnamma and Smt.Velidi Mangamma ably assisted by Sri.Muddana Bhaskara Rao established Velidi Venkateswarlu and Mangamma College at Ongole which provided education and employment to many people.
