The Waiting Room is a Canadian drama film, written and directed by Igor Drljaca and released in 2015.
Loosely based on the real life of Jasmin Geljo, the film stars Geljo as an actor who was once popular and famous in his native Yugoslavia, but has struggled to find success since emigrating to Canada.[1] Unhappily married to Patricia (Ma-Anne Dionisio), he dreams of returning to Sarajevo but fears losing contact with his son Daniel (Filip Geljo) if he goes through with it.
The film garnered two Canadian Screen Award nominations at the 4th Canadian Screen Awards in 2016, for Best Actor (Jasmin Geljo) and Best Supporting Actress (Cynthia Ashperger). [2]
