The Security Project
The Security Project[1] started performing in 2012[2] in recognition of the 25th anniversary of the release of the album Security by Peter Gabriel. The band performs Gabriel's early progressive repertoire, generally taking material from his first four albums.[3] Well known members of the band include drummer Jerry Marotta who played on those first four albums and toured with Gabriel for 10 years, Warr guitarist Trey Gunn who was a member of the well known progressive band King Crimson and guitarist Michael Cozzi who was a member of Shriekback. Their first performance was in NYC in August, 2012[4] Since that show, they have toured a couple of times, most recently in the North East[5] and Canada.[6] An analysis of the band including several interviews was performed by LileighWhiteLilith,[7] the pen-name of a TV producer known for her deep analysis of the music of Genesis, Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett.
