The Opposite of December is the first full-length album by experimental hardcore band Poison the Well. Very influential in the early popularization of metalcore around the turn of the century, and now considered a landmark in the genre the album was the band's first on Trustkill Records and was released on December 14, 1999. A remastered edition was released on November 20, 2012 on Rise Records.
