The Mastersons, husband and wife duo Chris Masterson and Eleanor Whitmore, is an American alternative country band from Brooklyn, New York.
History
Masterson and Whitmore, both Texas born, enjoyed successful careers as supporting musicians before marrying each other in 2009.[1] The couple played on each other's solo records in 2009 and joined Steve Earle's touring band, The Dukes and Duchesses, in 2011.[2] In 2012, the duo christened themselves "The Mastersons" and recorded their debut record, Birds Fly South.
