The Mark of Davis or also known as Pike 14 is the forty-fourth studio album by guitarist Buckethead, and the fourteenth installment of the Buckethead Pikes Series.[1]
The album was announced on April 30 as a limited edition, untitled album with hand drawn covers and signed by Buckethead himself to be released on May 31. The announcement sparked some confusion among fans who saw the series running chronologically up to this point since the announcement of this album came right after Buckethead had announced Propellar which skipped through Pike 13 entirely. Leaving fans to wonder about the order in which the albums were now being released.
On January 25, 2014, the album was released digitally which included the official album title, cover, and track names.[2] A standard edition was announced but has not yet been released.

Notes
- The original album announcement alluded to "Pistol" Pete Maravich's 3667 point and 44.2 per game average.[3]
- The title of the album possibly refers to Marc Davis an animator for Walt Disney Studios. Making this the second album to honor to a Disney animator aside from Pike 45, The Coats of Claude.
- "Track 5" from Pike 12 can be heard in the background of "Chickephant".
