The Green Economist
The Green Economist (ISSN 1751-0562) is a news journal, published independently by the Green Economics Institute. It provides a networking update on the activities of the GEI, including campaigns, conferences, training courses and publications.[1] It has been labelled the members' magazine of the Green Economics Institute, as it provides a medium of networking and communication for the Institute's connections stretching across 47 countries.[2][3] It connects 5000 professionals, many of whom contribute papers and articles to The Green Economist every year.[4]
Besides reporting the achievements and activities of the Green Economics Institute, The Green Economist also analyses current world affairs. It often discusses green economics solutions to ongoing worldwide problems.[5] The wide variety of topical news articles published in the magazine aims to bring together all individuals and organisations who are interesting in developing this progressive discipline of economics.[6][3]
Editorial Board
The founding editors of The Green Economist are Miriam Kennet, Volker Heinemann and Judith Felton.[7] However, new team members are added to the Editorial Board as the Institute brings in new academics and researchers. The Green Economist's latest Editorial Board included Miriam Kennet, Eleni Courea, Kristina Jocuite, Wei Ren, Pauline Mouret and Naomi Fernach.[8]
