"The Difference" is a song by American rock band The Wallflowers. It was released in May 1997 as the third single from their debut album, Bringing Down the Horse. Though it did not achieve the chart-topping success of previous single "One Headlight" on either Billboard rock chart, it spent 8 weeks at number 3 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, and peaked at number 5 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart. It also peaked at number 23 on the Hot 100 Airplay charts in 1997.
