The Closer with Keith Olbermann

The Closer with Keith Olbermann is a daily political web series hosted by Keith Olbermann for GQ. It premiered on September 13, 2016[1][2] and ended after the 2016 U.S. presidential election on November 8, when it was replaced by another GQ series, "The Resistance".[3][4] Among the series' segments is one in which he criticized Rudy Giuliani for questioning Hillary Clinton's health, noting that Clinton did not question Giuliani's health when she was running for the Senate from New York, even though he had previously had prostate cancer.[5]

Reception and impact

Slate magazine's Sam Kriss described the series as "the most embarrassing thing humanity has ever produced," adding that each episode was "a context-less, free-floating slice of sound and anguish."[6] As of October 23, 2016, the first episode of the series had been viewed more than 800,000 times on YouTube.[3]
