Ted Natt

Ted Natt (1941 – August 7, 1999) was a Pulitzer Prize–winning publisher.

Natt was publisher of the Longview Daily News in 1981 when the paper and its staff won the Pulitzer Prize for Local, General, or Spot Reporting.[1]

On August 7, 1999, Natt attended a memorial service for writer Willard R. Espy in Oysterville, Washington, and at night boarded a helicopter to fly home. Natt and the pilot never arrived at their planned destination of Kelso, Washington, and for several weeks their disappearance was a mystery. On September 11, 1999, however, a group of bow hunters discovered a crash site about six miles east of Knappa, Oregon. Natt's dead body was still strapped into his seat.[2]
