Taylor Harrington
Taylor Harrington (born July 31, 1983, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa) is an American director and visual effects artist. He is a partner in iam8bit,[1] a production company, marketing boutique and artist collective, along with Jon M. Gibson, Amanda White and Nick Ahrens.[2]
Career
Harrington is currently the co-founder and a former partner and post production supervisor at iam8bit and now has founded a new company called "The Malt Shop". He is a professor in Journalism at the University of Southern California.[3]
Education
While attending the University of Wisconsin with a double major in Film and Sociology, Harrington was approached to direct and star in an extensive commercial campaign for multiple banks in the Midwest. He won "Best in Show" for the direction and conceptualization of the viral portion of the project at the premiere marketing conference in Iowa.
Film & TV
He moved to Los Angeles in September 2008, and began supervising post production supervisor for iam8bit in 2009, where he co-found the film and production side of the collective, with projects including Capcom's Mega Man Universe.[4] and short film My Barista[5].[6] He is a self-taught editor and visual effects artist, with specialities in motion graphics and title sequences.

- 'Lost' Mega Man 10 Commercial (2010)[8] editor, SPFX. A "faux" commercial for Mega Man 10, posed as an archival discovery from the '80s. Produced by iam8bit for Capcom Entertainment.
