Tassaert family
Tassaert was the surname of a family of painters, sculptors and illustrators, originating in Antwerp, which later settled and worked in France in the 17th and 18th century:
- Pierre Tassaert, painter, (?- Antwerp c. 1692), received as a master into the Antwerp guild in 1635.
- Jean Pierre Tassaert, painter at Antwerp, (1651-1725).
- Jean-Pierre-Antoine Tassaert, sculptor, (1729-1788), Pierre's grandson and Jean Pierre's nephew
- Jean-Joseph-François Tassaert, engraver and painter, son of Jean-Pierre-Antoine, (1765-c 1835).
- Antoinette Tassaert, miniaturist.
- Nicolas François Octave Tassaert, son of Jean-Joseph-François (1810-1874).
- Paul Tassaert, engraver, (?-1855)
- Philippe Joseph Tassaert, painter, (1732-1803).
- Henriette Félicité Tassaert, (1766-1818) miniaturist, daughter of Jean-Pierre-Antoine.
