Sven Marquardt
Sven Marquardt (born 3 February 1962[1]) is a German photographer, writer, and the head doorman for the Berlin nightclub Berghain.[2] In 2014, he released his memoir Die Nacht ist Leben (English translation: The Night is Life) about his time in the German techno scene, from his life in East Germany during the 1980s up to the contemporary scene.[3] Marquardt also participated in a well-known GQ Magazine interview, which was seen as revealing about Berlin's underground.[4] His publications include books on his photography. He has also shown his work in solo photography exhibitions.[5] Marquardt has also co-produced a fashion line with the fashion house Hugo Boss.[2]
