Sudheer Babu (born Sudheer Babu Posani; 11 May 1979) is an Indian film actor and former professional Badminton player. He primarily works in the Telugu film industry. Sudheer made his debut as hero in the Telugu film industry with the film Shiva Manasulo Shruti. He is the brother-in-law of Telugu actor Mahesh Babu. In 2016, Sudheer made his Bollywood debut with the romantic action Baaghi as the main antagonist. Sudheer was approached to act in Baaghi after Sajid nadiawala team watched his stunts and work out personnel videos in YouTube.

Early life and badminton career

Sudheer Posani was born to Posani Nageswara Rao and Posani Rani on 11 May in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. He has an elder sister Karuna. He did his schooling in Vijayawada in Siddartha public school and attended M.S.Ramaiah Institute of Technology briefly in Bangalore (dropped out) and later graduated from Maharishi Institute of Management, Hyderabad. Later he generated interest in badminton and took it professionally with a lot of playing he showed his timbre which got him many accolades. Starting with the National School Games runner up and also was a Junior Badminton World Cup probable. He became determined to work a lot harder and eventually achieved the ranking as Andhra Pradesh No.1 player and also Karnataka No.1 player. He also played alongside Pullela Gopichand as a doubles partner.[1]

Personal life

Sudheer got married to Priyadarsini, the youngest daughter of Telugu actor Krishna in the year 2006. The couple has two sons named Charith Maanas and Darshan.

Film career

Sudheer began his acting career with the film Ye Maaya Chesave which was directed by Gautham Menon. The film was produced by his sister-in-law Manjula Ghattamaneni. In the film, he played the role of Samantha's brother.[2] Sudheer made his debut in a leading role with the film SMS (Siva Manasulo Sruthi) directed by Bheemli Kabadi Jattu fame Tatineni Satya.[3] The film was released on 10 February 2012.[4] It was produced by Vikram Raju under the Super Good Films banner.. Actress Regina Cassandra who also made her debut with this film was paired with sudheer. The film was a remake of 2009 Tamil film Siva Manasula Sakthi.[5]

His second film as hero, Prema Katha Chitram was released on 7 June 2013. Nandita acted alongside him. This film directed by J.Prabhakar reddy produced by Director Maruthi, received very positive reviews. Sudheer and Nandita won critical acclaim for their performances.

The film, which is being directed by G. Krishnareddy, also features Asmita Sood and Puunam Kaur.[6]
