Stuart Denman (born 1 September 1974) is an Australian ice hockey player currently playing for the Melbourne Ice in the Australian Ice Hockey League.

Playing career

Denman first played ice hockey in 2003 for the Melbourne Ice of the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL).[1] He has continued to play for the Ice and is currently playing in the 2011 AIHL season, which is his ninth season with the team.[1] In 2010 the Denman won his first Goodall Cup championship with the Ice after defeating the Adelaide Adrenaline in the final.[2]

Denman was first called up to represent Australia in 2005 where he joined the national senior team to compete in the 2005 IIHF World Championship Division II Group A tournament.[3] Deman finished the tournament with the best save percentage and goals against average.[4] In 2011 Denman represented Australia for the sixth time during the 2011 IIHF World Championship Division II Group A tournament.[1] He dressed for all four games but didn't play any minutes on the ice as the Australian team opted to play Matthew Ezzy in all of their games.[5]

Personal life

Denman was born on 1 September 1974 in Shoreham-by-Sea, England.[1] He works full-time in IT. Denman is married and has two children, Ewan and Abby and lives in Olinda, Victoria, Australia.[6]
