Statues Information
- Triumph of labour statue was erected in 25 January 1959.
- Kannagi statue states about the women Kannagi who comes to know that her husband had been accused of stealing an anklet of the queen, and put to death by the Madurai King and then proves that he is not the culprit.The king dies in shame and the city of Madurai was in flames later.
- Statues of Bharathiar, Bharathidasan, Thiruvalluvar, G.U.Pope, Kambar, Ilango Adigal, Veeramamunivar and Avvaiyar honours them for their help in developing the Tamil literature.
- Statues of Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Thanthai Periyar and Annie Besant honours them for their patriotism and efforts to gain India Independence.
