Meanwhile, Montgomery Scott fires himself out of the ship inside a torpedo and Krall tries to stop Kirk from separating the saucer section from the damaged neck of the Enterprise, which is followed then by Uhura going on to separate the saucer from the neck and getting left behind with Krall on the latter. Kirk then reaches the bridge where he finds Hikaru Sulu, Pavel Chekov and Kalara before ordering evacuation by Kelvin pods. Being the last man to escape, Kirk watches the Enterprise's saucer entering Altamid's atmosphere and crashing into the ground. |

When formulating the plan, the group concludes they need a diversion, followed by Kirk and Jaylah beaming near Krall's camp while riding a BX-70, an old motorcycle stored inside the Franklin. |

Meanwhile Edison, with a more Human-looking form and wearing a Starfleet uniform, heads to Yorktown's life support hub. |
