Stadion Anđelko Herjavec (Croatian pronunciation: [stâdijoːn ǎnd͡ʑeːlko xěrjaʋet͡s]), also known as Stadion NK Varteks or Stadion Varteksa, is a football stadium in Varaždin, Croatia, and the home ground of NK Varaždin. The stadium was built in 1931, although it underwent several renovations after that, and currently has an all-seating capacity of 10,800. It consists of three stands, with the main stand being the only one with a roof.
The stadium is located near the Varteks clothing factory, and also features a Varteks fan shop and a café. It was named after Anđelko Herjavec, a former chairman of NK Varteks who died in a road accident near Posedarje in July 2001. Herjavec was also the chairman of NK Varteks when they reached the quarterfinals of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1999, which was their biggest international success to date.
International matches
The stadium also hosted several international matches of the Croatian national football team as well as the Croatian national under-21 football team.
