St Thomas More Catholic Elementary School
St. Thomas More Catholic School is a Roman Catholic grade school at 1625 West Highland Avenue in Elgin, Kane County, Illinois in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockford.
It is named after the Saint Thomas More, the patron saint of lawyers.
The school has grades pre-school through 8th grade, with the main feeder high school being St. Edwards High School. They also have art, music, library, and computer lab weekly for all of the students.
Uniforms
Girls- Red and navy blue jumpers for grade 1-5, and red and navy blue skirt for grades 6-8. Girls May also wear navy blue shorts May 1 through September 30. All shorts, skirts, and jumpers may not be more than two inches above the knee. Girls must wear white or navy blue ankle socks, or white or navy blue knee highs or tights. No makeup, glitter, body piercings or tattoos are allowed. Hair must also be natural color and never in face or obstructing vision.
Boys- Navy blue shorts (May 1- September 30) and slacks. Short or long sleeve plain white shirts. Plain dark colored shoes with original laces. Short white or navy blue socks. Belt, and pants worn around waist.
All students must always look clean and respectable while in uniforms. Shirts must be tucked in at all times. Other optional sweaters available from uniform store, Educational Outfitters, where all items must be purchased.
Fundraisers

- Annual Turkey Raffle
- A $5000 raffle drawing.
- Holiday in the Halls
- A holiday craft show that welcomes parents to either set up a booth to sell crafts, or come and purchase their own.
- Boxtops for Education
- All year round the school collects boxtops from General Mills products, which they will receive 10 cents for each top. These can be collected at school or on the credenza at the back of the church.
