An R142A 6 Express train runs through Saint Lawrence Avenue station.

This elevated station has three tracks and two side platforms. The center track is used by the <6> train on weekdays in the peak direction.

The station opened on May 27, 1920 along with other stations north from Whitlock Avenue in Longwood.[1] It resembles other elevated stations along the line: it has wood mezzanines and no windscreens along the platform edges. St. Lawrence Avenue is the northernmost station on the IRT Pelham Line that does not serve rush-hour express service.
