St. Jude's Public School & Junior College is a residential public school located in the city of Kotagiri in the Nilgiris district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It follows the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) examinations conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. The school was founded in 1979 by P. P. Dhanarajan.
Aim of the institution
The school was founded with the following aims:
- To enable the child develop mentally, physically and spiritually and thus instill self-reliance.
- To inculcate the principle of "Universal Brotherhood" among children.
- To impart religious instruction so as to cultivate respect for one's own religion and tolerance for other religions.
- This Institution is founded on the strong conviction that our country and the world at large has a glorious future, if we shun religious, linguistic and caste fanaticism with the slogan of "Universal Brotherhood." This is the need of the hour and the only hope of humanity.
"There is a time to let things happen and a time to make things happen."
This institution with "Self Reliance" as its motto leads the younger generation towards making things happen.
