The Spacecraft Propulsion Research Facility is "significant in the development of the Centaur Rocket, which has launched some of America's most important space probes. This facility enabled engineers to hot-fire full-scale Centaur Rockets in simulated space conditions."[2] It is located on NASA's Plum Brook Station off Taylor Road, between Bloomingville and Bogart, south of Sandusky, Ohio, in the United States. On October 3, 1985, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places and declared a National Historic Landmark.
