Soul Quest Overdrive is an American comedy animated television series that was a spin-off of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Starring David Cross, H. Jon Benjamin,[1] Gavin McInnes and Kristen Schaal, the series follows four characters — based on the "Bible Fruit" characters from Aqua Teen Hunger Force — who, despite being Evangelical Christians, are also hedonistic drug addicts prone to extremely impulsive and destructive behavior. For Soul Quest Overdrive, the "Bible Fruit" characters were changed into anthropomorphic sports equipment and a new character — an angry Scottish punk rocker soccer ball — was added. It was picked up for six episodes in 2010.[2] The first 4 episodes premiered in Adult Swim's "DVR Theater" on May 24, 2011, after the episode "Meals on Wheels" was released online as part of a pilot contest in 2010, which it lost to Cheyenne Cinnamon and the Fantabulous Unicorn of Sugar Town Candy Fudge.[3][4][5][6] The episode "Pilot" and another unknown episode were never aired. Gavin McInnes — who voiced Mick, the Scottish soccer ball — confirmed that the series was cancelled and blamed the show's cancellation on the other cast members not being "as funny" as him.[7] McInnes was personally approached by Adult Swim and asked to play the voice of Mick, who has a thick Scottish accent on the show (McInnes himself is Canadian, of Glaswegian ancestry, but does not speak with a Scottish accent in real life).[8] It was created by Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis.
In 2015, Soul Quest Overdrive was seen playing on a television set in the house of Carl Brutananadilewski in the Aqua Teen Hunger Force episode "Sweet C".
