Sitochroa chortalis, the dimorphic sitochroa moth, is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Grote in 1873.[1] It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from Nova Scotia to southern British Columbia, south to New Jersey, Arizona and northern California.[2] The habitat consists of grassland and prairie areas.
The wingspan is about 27 mm. The ground color of the fore- and hindwings is whitish-buff with greenish-grey lines. Adults are on wing from mid-May to mid-July.[3]
The larvae feed on Amaranthus retroflexus.[4]
