Sid Gilman

For the American football coach, see Sid Gillman.

Sid Gilman is a neurologist and expert on Alzheimer's disease at the University of Michigan.[1]

He attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he received the highest academic honors, and the Harvard Medical School.[2]

Bapineuzumab controversy

In 2013, Gilman was implicated in the insider trading scandal concerning the Alzheimer's medication bapineuzumab.[1] For that reason the university disassociated itself with him.[3]

Personal life

In 1984 he married Carol Barbour. His wife is a psychoanalyst.[2]
