Shabnam Rezaei

Shabnam Rezaei is an entrepreneur and co-founder of Big Bad Boo Studios and oznoz.com. She is the co-creator of Mixed Nutz a TV series to promote diversity and multiculturalism through a group of friends from Iran, Korea, Cuba, Austria, and India.[1] The series was a continuation of their work “Babak and Friends – A First Norooz”, which included the voice talents of oscar-nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo, Parviz Sayyad, Ali Pourtash and Catherine Bell. Mixed Nutz aired on PBS, Shaw TV, Family Channel Finland and Rádio e Televisão de Portugal[2] among other channels.[3]

Shabnam was the first producer to animate the famous collection of stories from One Thousand and One Nights into a series television format for children[4] and created the television series 1001 Nights.[5] Every episode opens with the famous storyteller Shahrzad, King Shahryar, and two kids Donyazad and Shahzaman.[6] The series airs on Teletoon, Disney, CBC Radio-Canada and other channels.[7]

She is also the creator of Persian Cultural magazine PersianMirror.com.[8]
