Selva di Progno is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verona in the Italian region Veneto, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) west of Venice and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northeast of Verona. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 985 and an area of 41.2 square kilometres (15.9 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Selva di Progno contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Giazza (Ljetzan, where the Germanic language Cimbric, or locally "tauc,", is spoken), Campofontana, and San Bartolomeo delle Montagna e San Bortolo.
