Seaton Valley is a civil parish in Northumberland, England. It was created following the abolition of the Borough of Blyth Valley in 2008. It has a population of 15,049,[1] increasing to 15,422 at the Census 2011.[2]
The boundaries of the parish are not identical to the former Seaton Valley Urban District, excluding Cramlington but including Hartley and Seaton Sluice, the part of the former Municipal Borough of Whitley Bay which had been included in Blyth Valley in 1974.

Following the resignation of David Swinhoe on 29/4/2015 a by-election was called. Three candidates stood. Stephen Stanners (Labour), Anita Cynthia Romer (Lib Dem), Simon Troy Hartland (Conservative. Stephen Stanners was duly elected as the new Parish Councillor for Seghill with Seaton Dealval Ward with 506 votes[3]
