History
The moshav was founded in 1981 by evacuees from Sinai and was initially named Yesodot HaDarom (Hebrew: יְסוֹדוֹת הַדָּרוֹם, lit. Foundations of the South), but was later renamed after Avraham Herzfeld, a leader of Mapai.[2]
