Scarborough railway station is located on the Illawarra line in New South Wales, Australia. It serves the seaside village of Scarborough opening on 21 June 1887 as Clifton. It was renamed South Clifton on 3 October 1888 and again to Scarborough on 1 October 1903. It was relocated to its present site when the line was duplicated in 1915.[1][2] A yard formerly existed south of the station for the South Clifton Colliery. North of Scarborough the double line becomes single to pass through Coalcliff Tunnel.
