Scandal!
Scandal! is a leading prime time South African soap opera that currently airs on popoluar public broadcasting channel, E.TV weeknights at 7:30 pm C.A.T.
The soap opera is largely set within the revamped/re-branded - Jozi media house, NFH(Nyathi Family Holdings) formerly NZH(Nyathi-Zwane Holdings) the company that produces the gritty & gloss-glam magazine, Scandal!, the cutting edge newspaper, The New Voice and a publication similar to Scandal!, Secrets.
The soap opera stars veteran South African actor Sello Maake ka-Ncube as the calculating villain Lucas Nyathi formerly Daniel Nyathi before it was discovered that he stole his cousin's identity, swapped their names and framed the real "Daniel Nyathi" who later got arrested in a foreign country and jailed. Other cast members include Sandy Mokoena, Kagiso Medupe and Joyce Skefu who are some of the longest serving cast members.
Former cast members include Royalty Soap award winner Masasa Mbangeni who played the devious Thembeka Shezi-Nyathi, South African Film & Television Awards (SAFTAS) award winners Siyabonga Thwala and Nthati Moshesh and Shona Ferguson who went on to star on M-Net's shortlived The Wild, Rockville in which he co-created with his wife Connie Ferguson of Generations fame and the recent hit Telenovela, The Queen
