Sawale (Marathi:सावळे) is a village in India. It is situated in the Mawal taluka of Pune District in the state of Maharashtra.
Geography
Sawale is situated close to the Thokarwadi Dam. The villages around Sawale are Bhivpuri,Khandi,Kunegaon and Vaijanath. The village falls under the Maval taluka, The taluka headquarters are situated at Vadgaon and is governed by a tahsildar. As per the 2011 census out of a population of 1002 people are 471 Literate and 531 are Illiterate, Sawale's literacy rate is 56.14% which is lower than the average of 82.34% in the state of Maharashtra the male literacy is 64.62% and the female literacy rate is 47.47%, Sawale has a government-run primary school.[2][3]
