Trivia
The shooting for the film started in the year 1976 and was supposed to be the debut release of J. P. Dutta and had an interesting plot based on Indian prisoners of war. It had superstar Vinod Khanna in the lead along with Bindiya Goswami who later married J. P. Dutta. The film also had Mithun Chakraborty, a newcomer then, in an important role. Financial woes brought the filming of Sarhad to a premature end shattering many dreams.[3]
