Santanu Paul is an entrepreneur, computer scientist, and edutainer. He is the co-founder and CEO of a startup called TalentSprint.[2][3][4]
Early life and education
Santanu received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 1995. He has a B.Tech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and also attended the Ramakrishna Mission School, Narendrapur. He is a recipient of the Rackham Pre-doctoral Fellowship, the IBM Canada Fellowship, the LaCroute Fellowship for Computing Sciences, and a National Talent Scholarship from the Indian Government.[5]
Career
Santanu co-founded TalentSprint, a for-profit, high-impact platform. He has led the gifted TalentSprint team to fifteen awards as well as multiple venture capital raises from Nexus Venture Partners and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)[6][7][8][9]
Earlier, Santanu served Virtusa Corporation as Senior Vice President for Global Delivery Operations. He also worked as Chief Technology Officer at Openpages and Viveca, both venture-backed technology firms based in Boston. He began his career at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, New York. He is the author of twenty academic papers and an inventor on two United States patents.[3][10]
On occasion, he teaches entrepreneurship at the Indian Institute of Technology,[11] advises the Indian banking sector on technology trends and talent search, and conducts leadership clinics for corporate leaders. He is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and active as a column writer and public speaker.[12]
