Salling Clicker
Salling Clicker is a suite of computer programs to enable the remote control of a Macintosh or Windows PC from a mobile phone. It is written and maintained by Jonas Salling from Sweden through the company Salling Software.
A long list of phones is supported, from the Sony Ericsson T68 up to a variety of modern Symbian OS devices. The connection happens over Bluetooth or WiFi. A menu of actions is presented on the phone. On the Macintosh these correspond to a list of AppleScript items specified in the Clicker Settings pane. These enable control of applications such as iTunes or PowerPoint, and because they are AppleScript the list is expandable. On Windows, XML and JScript is used. JScript can be used, for example, with the Windows Scripting Host (WSH) to control and manage programs.
